Next stop was a section for some of the greatest minds (now & then), including the Albert Einstein, Ludwig Van Beethoven and the most famous one today in our century - Mark Zuckerberg.

A good thing about this museum was that it was somewhat "interactive" in a way that visitors can do so much with the wax figures like doing some silly poses with them or something. Also, props were provided so as to make your photo-ops much more believable, like you were blending in with these famous personalities.

Please excuse the fact that I have no idea who these guys were and only took a photo with them because I was just actually waiting for my turn with David Beckham (plus the poms-poms were very cute). Excuse me for any football enthusiasts out there. 

From all the adrenaline brimming through my veins as I was so excited to see my forever crush whom I will reveal later, I was able to  pick this 50kgs barbell up! Hahaha. Just kidding, it was only less than kilo if I remember. :P

Wandering further into the museum, I got myself to the zone where all the faces were finally very much more familiar -- the Hollywood. Woot! Woot! Talk about being an aficionado. In the next photos, you'll get to see my photos with some of the popular stars I normally see on screens only. It may not be the real ones but its the next best thing so I could not complain with that. And I consider myself lucky with that.

So, we'll start first with the voices behind the most popular songs we've heard like Hot N Cold, Billie Jean, Single Ladies, Poker Face and Like A Virgin. I'll let the photos do the namings.

The most popular section in this museum, I believe, was the One Direction plane. I mean, there are seriously a lot of other visitors, specifically young teenage girls(us included), who are lining up to get their photos with the boys. We even have to skip it for awhile to wait for the crowd to subside just so we can have them all by ourselves. Plus, I was with my cousin who was an avid fan of One Direction that a photo here was of the essence. Too bad the group was one less of a hottie now.

We arrived in Bangkok thru Suvarnhabumi Airport, which (from my stand point at that time) was looking a bit outdated. We (as in my whole family) landed late in the evening so we weren’t able to roam around the airport so we  went straight to our lodging. Hotels can be a bit pricey so we always opt on getting our place to stay on Airbnb. We ended up getting ourselves a 2-floor townhouse near an MRT station that I already forgot the name. 

We were greeted by a Burger Cafe, which was occupying the ground floor of our lodging space. And you guessed it right, dinner was served here, on the tables of “Burgersam”. To be honest though, nothing too special with this place. They offered the usual American dishes like steaks, pastas, and of course do not forget the burgers; and tastes were like the normal ones that I usually eat. But anyway, since we just got off the plane that time, I was able to stuffed in a steak and a pasta right into my growling stomach so as to satisfy my hunger.

Terminal 21

First stop of the day was in Pier 21 Food Court which was located in Terminal 21 Mall. This was not the typical food court that I normally see. The place was clean and not shabby unlike the others. Another unusual thing here was the fact that you must get a card first, top it with your Thai money and then use that card to pay for your food. Cool right? 

There were seriously so much foods to choose from, most of which that I do not normally see being served on my everyday plate. And I’m not actually quite sure if the price was cheap or what ‘coz we’re only able to eat here once, but I heard they give the most affordable prices.

Well of course, I didn’t let myself miss the chance on tasting  some of Thai’s most famous dishes like the papaya salad, pad thai, mango sticky rice and bubble tea. I also got a pork dish with some kind of sauce served with a boiled egg and a cup of rice, but I forgot the name. hahaha!

Last December 2017, I decided to take my first leave from work. If you are not aware, I am working now in Qatar as an operating room nurse. Anyway, I went on an Asian tour, mainly organized by yours truly. I flied to 3 different countries on that 21 days of vacation - Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. For the sake of not making a long post (and probably a boring one), I will be focusing on my Singapore travel first.

Singapore was actually not that foreign to me since I’ve already traveled here before, but the fact that I went there all by myself was something out of the ordinary. Although flying in an overseas country alone was also not new to me, which I first did when I decided to come here in Qatar to look for a better job opportunity; taking on a trip for the main reason of exploring the country was not a thing I normally do. Thus, I added traveling solo to my bucket list, which I already ticked from this trip I’ve had.

All the arrangements were made solely by me, from plane tickets & accommodation to my destinations. I literally made a time schedule for how long I should be staying in one place just so I can maximize my 3 days stay in Singapore. Another thing was, I did everything in a backpacker style. And with that, I only got a bedspace merely for sleeping.

I landed late in the afternoon so I went straight to Vivo City to visit once again the Sentosa Island. Of course, SG trip would not be complete without a photo with the infamous Universal Studios logo. And no, I didn’t went inside because going alone in an amusement park is no fun at all! So, I just spent maybe an hour there, from what I remember, roaming around the 3 islands. I didn’t spent a lot of time here since I already came here before and have already savored the islands (I even tried the Luge ride before!). Check it out here.

There was just this area that kinda bothered me. There were these animal structures made in a way that they were living like humans. And there was even a pig wearing only an underwear! Apparently, as I did my research after visiting seeing these statues, they were in fact depicting different Chinese mythology (my bad for having ridiculous thoughts).

And before ending the day, I checked myself in to a spaceship! Haha! I made a reservation in a a spaceship bed capsule at Met-A-Space-Pod, which was my first. That being said, another bucket list, checked!

I woke up extra early just so I can have a decent picture with the Merlion, which is just a 10 minute walk from my spaceship capsule. Crowd starts to influx later in the day to see and have a photo-op with this notable mythical creature with a Lion's head and a body of a fish.
 

Next destination was the Chinese Gardens. The place was, as the name implies, inhabited by lots of Chinese architectures which were very alluring and refreshing to the eyes. The sun was scorching hot back then so going around here was a bit of struggle for me, with the never-ending drippings of sweat, not to mention the heavy backpack I have. Hahaha!
